The Kings River

Rockhouse to Trigger Gap

25 minutes away, 7.7 mile float

Start early because this is a full-day float. Great bluff formations, easy Class I-II rapids, nice deep pools, and abundant gravel bars define this stretch of the river. It’s not uncommon to see deer, beavers, waterfowl, and many species of fish, including smallmouth bass. Swim, fish, and easily spend a long day on this serene, relatively lazy stretch of river. This trip is water-level dependent and more likely to be higher in the spring than late summer, so ask our staff if the water level is appropriate. Some photos displayed below are from the upper Kings on the Marble to Marshall Ford stretch of the river. If you are adeventurous and the water level is right, we can provide you information about this trip as well! Run your own shuttle or park at the take-out and pay for a $25 shuttle with either Trigger Gap Outfitters or Kings River Outfitters.
