Hogscald Hollow on Beaver Lake

20 minutes outside Eureka Springs

Hogscald Hollow is a beautiful cove located on Beaver Lake outside of Eureka Springs. Visitors have been coming here for thousands of years to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. Hogscald Hollow is a great place to swim and has gorgeous bluffs, water-dependent waterfalls including Lover’s Leap waterfall, and an abundance of natural scenery. Hogscald is a primitive Beaver Lake access (there are no restrooms, no running water, and no formal parking lot). Be prepared to drive several miles down an Arkansas gravel road and lose cell phone service, but the destination will be worth the journey. Parking can be tricky (grab a spot along the county dirt road) and you may have to carry your boats for quite a distance to the water depending on how busy it is.

The BEST way to explore Hogscald is by water on a Stand up Paddleboard rental from Float Eureka. We recommend going to Hogscald early in the day before the parking area fills up with vehicle and Hogscald cove fills up with boat traffic! We also offer kayak and canoe rentals that you can transport to Hogscald yourself to explore the area - reserve your boat now! Enjoy our photos of Hogscald Hollow below!
